Baby Kojo {McKinney Newborn Photography Session}

Baby Kojo’s McKinney newborn photography session was so much fun to shoot! I love seeing a new family of three in the studio because the energy is full of love, excitement and adoration. I even got to capture the cutest smile from him! Can you say heart-eyes?!

Meet Kojo, 9 days old and has the best full head of hair. Mom had a vision of creams and tans, but she also wanted a few festive shots since he was born so close to Christmas. I pulled lots of textures in the same cream color way, my favorite tan knit and a holiday-inspired plaid blanket. I completed the looks with a mini teddy bear, some wooden baskets and a tin bucket and I’m obsessed with how his photos turned out! Keep scrolling to see why this little boy stole my heart!

Are you interested in a McKinney newborn photography session? Due to limited availability each month, we recommend scheduling your session a few months in advance. The session ideally takes place when your baby is between 6 and 14 days old; this helps to ensure they are young and sleepy and easy to pose! All newborn sessions are held in our downtown Mckinney photography studio. We provide all the wraps, props, outfits, and headbands!

WELCOME

Hi! I’m Laura! Thank you for visiting my site giving me the consideration of documenting this special time for your family! With over 800 newborns photographed and over 9 years of experience, I can assure you, your little one is in the best hands! Before I was a photographer I was a first grade teacher. I stopped doing that when my oldest son was born and quickly picked up photography as a hobby. Being a first time mom and seeing just how quickly my baby was growing and changing each day I realized the importance of documenting these memories. When they say the days are long but the years are short, that could not be more true! That same baby is almost a teenager now and I am so glad I had photography as a way to freeze that tiny window of time! I once heard someone say that while family photos are important, you can take new ones every year. Newborn photos are a one time thing and once that time is gone you’ll never get it back!
