Why Should You Book A Milestone Session? {Dallas Baby Photographer}

Are you asking yourself “what is a milestone session?”? A milestone session (or a sitter session) is the perfect way to freeze time when your baby is 6 or 12 months old! It truly is the perfect way to see how your baby transforms from the newborn stage to the baby stage. These sessions are typically 45-60 minutes and include 2 outfit changes with the option of a cake smash segment!

Want to find the perfect outfit for your milestone/sitter session, but not sure where to start? We provide full use of props and our client closet, which if full of adorable outfits for your little one! However, if you’re wanting to bring your own outfits, here are a few of our favorite shops: Janie and Jack, Maisonette, JoJo Mommy, BabyBliss, and Hipster Baby to name a few.

If you’re wanting to capture a few cake smash photos, we recommend simple white cakes as they look best in the photos! Here are a few client favorites: Sweet Art Bakery, Bliss Cupcake Confections, Small Cakes Prosper and Sweet Tooth Custom Cakes.

Hi! I’m Laura! Thank you for visiting my site giving me the consideration of documenting this special time for your family! With over 800 newborns photographed and over 9 years of experience, I can assure you, your little one is in the best hands! Before I was a photographer I was a first grade teacher. I stopped doing that when my oldest son was born and quickly picked up photography as a hobby. Being a first time mom and seeing just how quickly my baby was growing and changing each day I realized the importance of documenting these memories. When they say the days are long but the years are short, that could not be more true! That same baby is almost a teenager now and I am so glad I had photography as a way to freeze that tiny window of time! I once heard someone say that while family photos are important, you can take new ones every year. Newborn photos are a one time thing and once that time is gone you’ll never get it back!
