Baby Presley {Prosper Newborn Photography Session}

My Prosper newborn photography session with baby Presley was so special! I just love it when I get to capture the new bond between first-time parents and their newest addition. Seriously the best job in the world! This sweet girl gave us a ton of sleepy shots, but she also woke up just in time to give me the cutest wide-eyed look. Meet Presley, just 15 days old and she already has the sweetest spirit.

To prep for a newborn session, I always send out a questionnaire for the parents to fill out. This gives me a better idea of what they’re wanting for their session (as far as color scheme, style, etc.). I had a blast bringing this mamas vision to life and playing dress up with baby girl! This mama wanted their session to include pinks, but stay neutral, and have girly accents. In addition to whites, I started by pulling multiple shades of pinks in several textures, which included mauve, dusty rose and the palest pink. Then I added in wooden bowls, wicker baskets and a woven mat for that extra element of depth. Lastly, I pulled several headbands that had beading, florals and tulle to complete each look. Obsessed with how everything came together for Presley’s newborn session!

Are you interested in a Prosper newborn photography session with us? Due to limited availability each month, we recommend scheduling your session a few months in advance. The session ideally takes place when your baby is between 6 and 14 days old; this helps to ensure they are young and sleepy and easy to pose! All newborn sessions are held in our downtown Mckinney photography studio. We provide all the wraps, props, outfits, and headbands! We also have a full wardrobe of dresses for mom!

Hi! I’m Laura! Thank you for visiting my site giving me the consideration of documenting this special time for your family! With over 800 newborns photographed and over 9 years of experience, I can assure you, your little one is in the best hands! Before I was a photographer I was a first grade teacher. I stopped doing that when my oldest son was born and quickly picked up photography as a hobby. Being a first time mom and seeing just how quickly my baby was growing and changing each day I realized the importance of documenting these memories. When they say the days are long but the years are short, that could not be more true! That same baby is almost a teenager now and I am so glad I had photography as a way to freeze that tiny window of time! I once heard someone say that while family photos are important, you can take new ones every year. Newborn photos are a one time thing and once that time is gone you’ll never get it back!
