Baby Isla {Prosper Newborn Photography Session}

Baby Isla kicked off 2023 in the studio for her Prosper newborn photography session! Sweet Isla joined the world 8 weeks early and after a few weeks in the hospital, got to go home on Christmas day (the most perfect gift!)! I absolutely LOVED having her in the studio as our first baby of the new year!

I love when moms choose non-traditional colors for girls! Isla’s mom requested all creamy tones with a bit of baby blue. When using the same color tones, I always pull tons of texture to keep things visually interesting. Then I added in frilly headbands and wooden bowls/baskets to complete each look. Are you interested in a Prosper newborn photography session? Due to limited availability each month, we recommend scheduling your session a few months in advance. The session ideally takes place when your baby is between 6 and 14 days old; this helps to ensure they are young and sleepy and easy to pose! All newborn sessions are held in our downtown Mckinney photography studio. We provide all the wraps, props, outfits, and headbands! We also have a full wardrobe of dresses for moms!

Hi! I’m Laura! Thank you for visiting my site giving me the consideration of documenting this special time for your family! With over 800 newborns photographed and over 9 years of experience, I can assure you, your little one is in the best hands! Before I was a photographer I was a first grade teacher. I stopped doing that when my oldest son was born and quickly picked up photography as a hobby. Being a first time mom and seeing just how quickly my baby was growing and changing each day I realized the importance of documenting these memories. When they say the days are long but the years are short, that could not be more true! That same baby is almost a teenager now and I am so glad I had photography as a way to freeze that tiny window of time! I once heard someone say that while family photos are important, you can take new ones every year. Newborn photos are a one time thing and once that time is gone you’ll never get it back!
